Who are Select Scootas?
Select Scootas is a family business focused on the distribution of amazing products and backing it up locally with great service, spare part availability second to none, family values and a hard working team and dealer network!
We began in 1999 as Bolwell Scoota, a joint venture between Bolwell Corporation and the Black family and quickly took the brand to number one in Australia through the distribution of PGO and SYM scootas. Eureka Scoota became part of our stable in 2003 as we expanded into a full range of mobility scootas and electric bicycles.
In the beginning of 2008 we had a monumental change to the business; the Black family bought their partners shares and took over 100 per cent ownership of the company and Select Scootas began. We are located just outside of Melbourne in a purpose built warehouse and supply to dealers throughout Australia. All of our customers can rest assured that wherever their scoota takes them, support won’t be far away. We personally check every scoota which comes through our warehouse, this equates to a three point quality check; one at the factory, one with us & one with your retailer, this is a unique service from Select Scootas. We can confidently offer industry leading warranty on all our vehicles because we trust what we send out.
As a family business, our motto has always been to provide great quality at a good price with exceptional back up & service. Our spare parts stock is enormous! We pride ourselves on fast turnaround to our Australia wide dealer network; this means you should never be inconvenienced!

Neil brings years of experience from industries as diverse as marine, aviation and automotive to lead Select Scootas with his broad and knowledgeable perspective. His invaluable skills are often a guiding light in this industry, and certainly helps Select Scootas with forecasting and product development.
KAYE BLACK The Mum
If something is happening at Select Scootas, the odds are Kaye is in the loop! Kaye brings an enormous knowledge of international trade and relations to Select Scootas, as well as having a keen grasp on financial lingo – so we gave her the fun job of dealing with the bank manager! All international shipments are watched over by her keen eyes.
HOLLIE BLACK The Daughter
Widely recognized as a pioneer of the local Scoota industry, Hollie is an advocate of the Australian Scoota lifestyle. Hollie has a creative and cheerful perspective, and this rubs off on everyone at Select Scootas! With over a decade extensive experience in marketing, Hollie continues to make SYM the brand the other guys try to copy; her original touch is invaluable.
TIM BLACK The Son
Selling Scoota’s ain’t easy but someone’s gotta do it! Tim represents the SYM brand Australia wide, and if he’s not on two wheels he’s in his ute trekking across the country. Having watched the brand grow to what it is today, Tim is passionate about Scoota’s – he genuinely loves the product.... and the people he gets to work with!
